MIRABAI CEIBA

Mirabai Ceiba is an internationally acclaimed duo where two different worlds meet:
Markus Sieber, a musician born in East Germany, and Angelika Baumbach, a
vocalist and multi-instrumentalist of Mexican and German heritage, raised near
Mexico City. Their music weaves together delicate strings, harp, piano, and subtle
vocal interplay, blending elements of world, folk, chamber, and devotional traditions.
Their name carries symbolic meaning: Mirabai was a Hindu poet and devotional
singer, while the ceiba is the sacred tree of Latin America. Like this tree, their music
has deep roots and far-reaching branches, embracing cultures and people across
the globe.
Since their debut album Flores (2004), Mirabai Ceiba has become an important
voice in contemporary spiritual and world music. Their album Ocean (2008) was
recognized
as Best Vocal Album of the year, A Hundred Blessings (2010) received
an L.A. Yoga Award, and Awakened Earth (2011) became an international
bestseller. In 2015, Sevati reached No. 1 on the iTunes World Music charts in more
than 13 countries and remains one of their most celebrated works.
Mirabai Ceiba perform mantras, traditional songs from various cultures, and original
compositions in English and Spanish. They draw inspiration from poets such as
Rumi, Nezahualcoyotl, and other mystical literary traditions. Their listeners around
the world are captivated by pieces like “Oceano,” “La Luna,” “Har Mukanday,”
“Gobinday Mukanday,” “Breath of Love,” and many others.
The duo has performed in renowned venues worldwide—from the shores of Buenos
Aires to concert halls in Tel Aviv, from Mexico City’s Teatro de la Ciudad to national
stages in Warsaw, Moscow, and Tallinn. Their concerts are luminous, heartfelt
gatherings where music becomes a universal bridge between cultures.
Mirabai Ceiba create a space for stillness, inner peace, and human light. Their music
is an invitation to touch what is universal and simple: breath, sensitivity, and genuine
connection.

DEVA PREMAL & MITEN

Deva Premal & Miten are an internationally acclaimed mantra music duo who for more than three decades have been shaping a contemporary relationship with mantra, meditation, and communal chanting. Their work has become an essential part of yoga, mindfulness, and spiritual music culture worldwide.

Deva Premal is known for her clear, deeply affecting voice, often described as directly touching inner stillness, while Miten — a former rock musician — creates musical structures that allow ancient Sanskrit mantras to resonate in a contemporary form without losing their depth. Together, they bridge tradition and the present, ritual and simple presence.

Throughout their creative journey, Deva Premal & Miten have released numerous albums that have become classics of meditative music, and mantras such as Gayatri Mantra are widely used both in individual practice and in community gatherings. Their music is often described not as a concert, but as an experience in which chanting, breath, and silence become equally essential elements.

In today’s world, where more and more people experience stress and information overload, Deva Premal & Miten speak of mantra as a way to return to balance, calm the mind, and open the heart. Their work invites not observation, but participation — through voice, listening, or quiet presence.

At Gabya Isle Rituals, their appearance becomes an invitation to encounter sound as ritual and music as a living, community-connecting experience.

REINHARDT BUHR

The story of Reinhardt Buhr’s musical journey is one of transformation, inspiration,
and devotion. At the age of 19, a friend’s newfound passion for the guitar spurred
him on to pursue it himself. He discovered the flamenco guitar a year in and almost
immediately landed his first little local gig. As a result of his natural talent, he was
able to form a band that successfully toured all across the country in a very short
amount of time. Reinhardt started out with playing the guitar to adding various
instruments to his live set like: Electric cello, didgeridoo, piano, drums, hang drum,
shofar, electric saxophone and much more!
However, Reinhardt’s rise in the music scene was accompanied by a descent into a
dark period of substance abuse, leaving him disconnected from his true self and
from his surroundings. It was only after reaching a profound low that Reinhardt
turned to God for help.
In 2016, Reinhardt and his wife experienced a life-changing spiritual awakening that
marked the beginning of their healing and salvation journey. He shifted from seeking
fame and fortune to dedicating his entire music to playing for God as a result of this
transformation. This transformation not only restored Reinhardt’s life, but also
redefined his purpose as a musician.
As a result of this new direction in his music, he has accumulated over 2 million
social media fans who are captivated by his performances’ authenticity and spiritual
depth. Reinhardt Buhr’s music today goes far beyond an artistic expression; it is an
offering of worship that seeks to bring healing, peace, and the presence of God to all
listeners. A testament to grace, redemption, and the transformative power of
committing one’s talents to a higher purpose, his story is a testament to all of these
things.
